FishSAFE Companion App Launched

On 20 January 2015 the FishSAFE Companion App was launched at a Reception held at The Sir Duncan Rice Library, University of Aberdeen.
The Companion App is a reference and educational tool which will enhance the safety of fishermen. It provides images and text describing surface and subsea objects used in offshore oil and gas operations. The App contains an interactive quiz section and images of and information about the contours and dimensions of many objects commonly located offshore.
The App can be downloaded for Android tablet devices via the Google Play Store. Just Search for “FishSafe” in the app stores and hit the download button, or alternatively you can use the following link:

The App forms part of the FishSAFE Information Project – 2014. FishSAFE Information is made available by FLTC Services Limited and provides fishermen with detailed information about oil and gas related surface and subsea structures in UK waters.
The FishSAFE Information Project – 2014 is funded by FLTC Services Limited and its costs are supported by substantial grants awarded by the Scottish Ministers and the European Union through the European Fisheries Fund who are thereby investing in sustainable fisheries.
